4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price for convenience, June 2, 2009
I live in a rural area, so in order to get the forecast I would have to log on to the computer or wait for the nightly news. My weather station solved this issue for me. I am easily able to view the weather for today and the next three days. I have found the forecasts to be pretty accurate. The only aspect I would call into question is the accuracy of the wind speeds, but the wind gusts seem about right. Other issues I noticed is that the unit does not appear cabable of being hung on a wall, you need to push a button to get the current outdoor forecast and the unit you put outdoors is not waterproof. I found a convenient space to put the outdoor unit where it will stay dry, but this may not be an option for everyone. However, I really appreciate the option to have weather alerts sent to the unit (free option for one year). Since we live in a rural area, there is a good chance that we would not receive severe weather warnings from the television or hear sirens from town. Overall, I love my weather station and I am surprised at how often I look at it and have already begun to rely on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars great device, December 9, 2009

I have had this weather station for about a year. We got it at costco for about thirty bucks.
It's fairly simple to set up: plug the transmitter to your residential internet switch, log on the website to register and set up the city you are interested et voila.
The remote temperature sensor is also useful though you have to press a button on the display to show the outside temperature.
It shows weather and min/max temperature for the next 3 days for morning, afternoon, night or all day. You can also set it to show all 4 in sequence.

They try to sell you additional service to display multiple locations.
i think it would quickly end up being cheaper to buy two units so you can display the weather at your location and your holiday home or golf course.

Overall a useful product.
Note that the internet wireless dongle needs a power supply (provided) that sucks about 4 watts 24/7.
